“Began seeing Paul 2 years ago, initially for couples counselling for my partner and I. When needed, he saw us regularly and had a huge influence on improving our communication and working through our personal issues. Since then, both my partner and I have seen him separately for a multitude of personal problems, day to day stressors and old traumas. We both find him to be extremely perceptive, succinct and intelligent in his responses and the way he guides us towards realisations and reflections. Thoroughly recommend Paul!”

“I have been working with Paul for many years, and the work we’ve done and continue to do has been truly transformative. Paul is an exceptional listener and has an incredible ability to hold space. He is insightful, compassionate, and deeply intuitive, and has helped me navigate some of my most challenging experiences with grace and clarity. I always leave our sessions feeling more grounded, empowered, and seen. I can’t recommend Paul highly enough.”
“I’ve been working with Paul since 2017, and the work we’ve done together has been deeply impactful. He is kind, empathetic, and an exceptional listener who creates a space where you feel genuinely seen and supported. With patience and insight, he helps illuminate long-standing patterns and subconscious dynamics, gently encouraging meaningful self-exploration.”
“My partner and I have been seeing Paul for couples counselling for approximately 7 years. What we appreciate most is his ability to balance professionalism with personality. He’s genuinely funny, which helps ease tension during difficult discussions, and he communicates in a way that feels grounded and real, not clinical or scripted.”
How I can help
I offer individual, couples, and Lacanian psychoanalytic therapy — online via secure video call or in person at my Carlton practice. Most of my clients choose to work with me online. All sessions are confidential.
Most of my clients work with me online. I've been offering therapy via secure video call and telephone since 2020 — it's not an alternative to in-person therapy, it's how I do most of my work. Online sessions are available to anyone in Melbourne, across Victoria, interstate, and internationally.
Individual therapy gives you dedicated time and space to explore whatever is weighing on you. I work with people experiencing anxiety and panic, depression and low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, trauma, addiction, identity concerns, and many other challenges.
Relationships are hard work, even when they're good. When communication breaks down, trust erodes, or the same conflicts keep repeating, it can feel impossible to find a way forward on your own.
Lacanian psychoanalytic therapy is a deeper, longer-term form of work for people who want to understand themselves at a fundamental level — not just to manage symptoms, but to change something about how they experience life, relationships, and themselves.
