Online & Phone Therapy Sessions
Most of my clients work with me online. I've been offering therapy via secure video call and telephone since 2020 — it's not an alternative to in-person therapy, it's how I do most of my work. Online sessions are available to anyone in Melbourne, across Victoria, interstate, and internationally. They're also a good fit for people who find the idea of coming to a consulting room difficult, including those managing agoraphobia or anxiety around travel.
Online therapy is real therapy. The intimacy of the therapeutic relationship — the attentiveness, the quality of listening, the space to think together — translates well to a video or telephone setting. Many clients find they're just as able to go to difficult places in an online session as they are in person.
Sessions are booked through the same online system. I'll send you a secure video link ahead of your session. All you need is a private space and a reliable internet connection. If you have questions about how online therapy works, feel free to get in touch before booking.
Common questions
Is online therapy as effective as in-person therapy?
Research consistently shows that online therapy is as effective as in-person therapy for most presentations. The therapeutic relationship — widely considered the most important factor in therapy outcomes — functions well online. For some people it actually feels more accessible.
What platform do you use for online sessions?
I use a secure, encrypted video platform. No download is required — you'll receive a link before the session and can join through any modern web browser. I recommend choosing a private space where you won't be overheard or interrupted.
Can I do online therapy from anywhere in Australia?
Yes. I work with clients across Melbourne, throughout Victoria, interstate, and internationally. All you need is a reliable internet connection and a private space.
